Landlords Appeal

Wandsworth Council has joined the Government’s Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP) and the Afghan Citizens’ Resettlement Scheme (ACRS) to provide safe refuge for as many of the over 20,000 Afghan people the UK plans to resettle as possible. 

There are currently six households already approved by the council but we would love to take more out of temporary accommodation and welcome them into SW18. 

If you’re a private landlord here in Wandsworth and would like to provide housing to Afghan refugees, this is what you’ll receive:

- a two-year secure tenancy

- incentive package of between £2,000 and £3,500

- practical help from the council 

- a community already in place to welcome the families to our borough
